CHALLENGE PROCESS FLOWCHART: As part of the grant process under the Broadband Equity, Access and Deployment (BEAD) program, a statewide map has been created that includes address-level information to identify eligible areas for funding projects. However, this map will be subject to challenges. The Texas Broadband Development Office has created this flowchart to explain how the challenge process works. FCC BROADBAND MAP: A comprehensive address-level map showing broadband availability data.  The Broadband Development Office officials will adopt data from the FCC’s National Broadband Map, found here, for the Texas map used for grant awards. Find more information in the FAQ, found here.

 

 

BEAD INITIAL PROPOSAL, VOLUME 1: The state of Texas has submitted its initial proposal to the National Telecommunications and Information Administration as part of the process to award grants to sub-recipients under the Broadband Equity, Access and Deployment (BEAD) program.
